The Everyday Athlete.
We’re a CBD brand for the “Everyday Athlete.” But what does that really mean? Are you an everyday athlete? Do you have to be an athlete to benefit from Resilience?
The truth is, if you are in an ongoing pursuit to achieve personal wellness, you are an everyday athlete. We are looking out for all active people; whether you workout once a month or every single day, you care about your fitness, and that makes you an everyday athlete. We want to help support your journey in every way possible.
Resilience CBD is specifically designed to help active people elevate their physical and mental fitness, regardless of your level. Here are five benefits of CBD that can benefit anyone — from CrossFit enthusiasts to the morning dog walkers.
1. Reduced Stress and Anxiety Levels
CBD has stress-reducing properties that provide a sense of calm, and can actually adjust the way a person’s brain responds to anxiety. Anxiety is caused by the overproduction of neurons in your hippocampus (this is the area of the brain that controls emotions and memories). CBD helps to reduce levels, and promote longevity of existing neurons. CBD also activates neurotransmitters in the brain that regulate happiness, anxiety and depression.
2. Improved Sleep
There are several ways CBD helps to cultivate deeper, more refreshing sleep. As mentioned above, CBD helps to relieve stress and anxiety. This settles anxious and stressful thoughts that may inhibit sleep. CBD also works with receptors throughout the brain that regulate your body’s sleep cycles. Studies have shown that CBD helps to improve the duration and quality of sleep so you wake up feeling refreshed.
3. Improved cholesterol profiles
There are two different types of cholesterol: LDL (low density lipoprotein) and HDL (high density lipoprotein). LDL is typically considered “bad” cholesterol and can raise your risk for heart problems. CBD actually interacts with metabolism genes to maintain levels of LDL in the body. Resilience CBD Oils are also a great source of Omega-3 and Omega-6, which promote heart health and prevent LDL from building up in arteries throughout the body when paired with a healthy diet and exercise.
4. Bone Health
There are growing bodies of research around CBD and bone health. A study by the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research found that CBD can actually help accelerate healing of bone fractures. Because it relieves joint pain and inflammation, it has been widely used to ease chronic bone-related conditions like arthritis.
5. Mood Regulation
Fluctuations in mood are typically connected to imbalances in the brain’s limbic system (this is the area that regulates your mood). Your body has endocannabinoids within the limbic system that send messages to cells, which help regulate emotional responses. Because CBD supports the body’s endocannabinoids, it is extremely likely it helps to regulate mood.
While each of the above benefits are large contributors to physical performance, you don’t need to be the next Olympic runner to reap the benefits. If you’re reading this, you care about your personal fitness, and that makes you an everyday athlete.
